Mirena is a highly effective birth control method that has been shown to be safe for use during breastfeeding. Rare side effects, such as migration or perforation of the uterus may require removal from Mirena if they occur at all; however breast feeding does not increase your risk when using this device because it will only provide protection against pregnancy – Not sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Common symptoms include: abdominal/pelvic pain acne back pains bloating breasts tenderness depression changes in hair growth itchy skin rash heavier periods missed phases(amenorrhea).
